What I learned...

Back when I was little, XTMPI was a way for me to learn the English language. But as it turns out, I learnt much more than that. In that classroom on the first floor, on the left, I left every time knowing something new. That classroom was a place where everyone could be their raw, most authentic self. And we learnt so many life lessons, all together, with Mrs. Xenia by our side, always supporting us. What an outsider would see was a classroom full of students learning English. But that wasn't the case. Me and all my other classmates connected and became a team, learning about the realities of the outside world. We learned to observe, to have control, to love, to dance, to feel without fear. We talked about what we liked, what we hated, what was trending. We had discussions and debates about serious matters and most importantly, we became people. And yes, we did learn English perfectly. We learnt English through being vulnerable, singing, reading, discussing. I believe that my years in XTMPI changed me completely. I feel thankful for all the things I learned and all the people that I bonded with. Without XTMPI, I wouldn't be the person I am right now. Because XTMPI taught me how to be happy, sad, afraid, strong. I will never forget all these experiences that I gained through this journey of learning English. So cheers to all these years of laughter, smiles and English.
